MP reveals files discussed by Al-Sudani during his visit to Jordan

Member of the State Support Bloc, MP Mohammed Al-Ziyadi, confirmed on Thursday that the sudden and quick visit of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani to the Jordanian capital, Amman, was important and necessary, as several files related to the Syrian situation were discussed, and Iraq invited the neighboring and concerned countries to meet in Baghdad to reach a clear picture of how to deal with the new Syrian regime.
Al-Ziyadi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “Yesterday’s visit by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani was a surprise and quick one, as it was necessary due to the events taking place in Syria, in order to consult and see what is happening in Syria and to develop a strategy to adapt to the new situation.”
He added, “Among the files that Al-Sudani discussed with the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II, was developing a security strategy between Iraq and Jordan to confront any developments or potential dangers that the two countries may face, as they are neighbors of Syria.”
He explained that “the meeting stressed the necessity of unifying security and political positions regarding the developments taking place in the Middle East, especially since Iraq adopted holding a meeting for neighboring countries concerned with the Syrian issue, in order to reach a clear picture of how to deal with the new Syrian regime.”
Yesterday, Tuesday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani made a surprise and quick visit to the Jordanian capital, Amman, where he met with the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II, and discussed current developments in the region and events on the Syrian scene.
