The leader in the coordination framework, Turki Al-Atabi, warned, on Saturday, of 3 threats posed by the Riyadh conference to be held in the presence of the US President.
Al-Otbi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “We do not trust any conference held under the auspices of the White House in the Middle East, because its agenda, whether security and economic, will not benefit Baghdad, but rather tries to exploit its influence to plunge it into major problems.”
Al-Otabi added, “The Riyadh conference poses 3 threats to the Iraqi scene, which are security, economic and political,” stressing that “the participating countries seek to crystallize alliances that serve their interests and are trying to exploit the country’s position in dominance over its capabilities and wealth.”
He pointed out that “Washington only wants chaos in the Middle East, so any conference held under the auspices of the White House, whether in Riyadh or elsewhere, aims primarily at taking care of its interests and exploiting the rest of the countries in this direction.”
The Riyadh conference will be held in the presence of the US President and other countries as part of Washington’s efforts to revive its alliances in the Middle East.
