Amensty was given to Maliki 2 weeks ago but his family and associates are soiling their sheets with fear of being left open to prosecution. Second, Maliki would like to keep his government mansion, private intelligence force and private security forces. Maliki wants to keep all government offices where members of his party reside and he wants Masum (POR) to appoint him the VP or another position…plus members of his party get appointed positions. In other words, Maliki will give up the PM name only as long as they all get amnesty and get to keep what they have…along with their political positions.

8-3-2014 RUMOR Guru Mnt Goat The new president Masoum must submit a candidate to the parliament on Monday 8/4 and announce his name to the world. The next session of parliament will conduct a vote on Tuesday 8/5 and seat the new prime minister and the other positions. Nori Al-Maliki will not be the candidate put forward for prime minister. I am hopeful and now hearing they will not drag this on and the president will announce the final candidate tomorrow, Monday 8/4, and will formally submit the names of the prime minister, deputy prime minister and vice president to the parliament on time and in preparation for a vote in Tuesday’s 8/5 session.

8-3-2014 Intel/Newshound Guru tman23 the Alliance said they will announce their candidate on Monday…Tuesday he will be officially announced in Parliament, there could be 3 or 4 candidates and by next Tuesday voted down to 1…they are talking of introducing the Budget on Tuesday also…That said, so far the Alliance has been very calculated regarding it’s moves…whoever they nominate I believe we can be absolute that they have the votes to see it through.

They don’t want to challenge this in court because if they are ruled not the largest block then they will have lost. This is their last hurrah, their last stall to get immunity. Their last argument. So between now and Tuesday expect to see this argument get bounced around in the news not the courts. Tuesday the NA will present its candidate. He will come from the Coalition, most likely Mahdi.

There should not be much screaming from the SOL (State of Law) the minute the nominee is announced because IMO, the heads of the SOL and Maliki will already be on an airplane to parts unknown having unsuccessfully not received the “real” deal they have been seeking from almost the beginning of this, which is immunity.
