The head of the Anbar Salvation Council, Hamid al-Hayes, confirmed on Thursday that the Sunni political map will change by 100% in the coming days, indicating that the Speaker of the House of Representatives will be removed because of his corruption.
Al-Hayes said in a televised interview, followed by Al-Maalouma, that “the urban and service achievements that are attributed to Muhammad al-Halbousi are false, and they are the efforts of governors and local administrations.”
He added, “The coming days will witness a change in the entire Sunni political map, including the replacement of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi.”
Al-Hayes said, “The Sunni movement is active towards overthrowing and replacing al-Halbousi, with the support of active Shiite forces that currently exceed 60% of the parliamentary forces.”
The leader of the Unified Anbar Alliance, Sheikh Arkan al-Tarmouz, had revealed the existence of a new dispute over positions in Anbar, indicating that Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi does not have the right to speak on behalf of the component or claim its leadership.
