Framework: We will not accept any attempts to change the political reality in Iraq

Coordination Framework member Ali Al-Fatlawi confirmed Friday (December 13, 2024), that Iraq will not accept any foreign interventions to change its political reality.
Al-Fatlawi said in a press interview that “Iraq’s political situation is stable and democratic and it believes in the peaceful transfer of power. Therefore, we have not and will not allow any foreign interventions to change its political reality, as some are promoting. The Iraqi political forces as well as the popular actors will not accept any interventions under any pretext.”
He added, “Iraq is one of the countries in the region and the world in democratic political work, and there is international and UN recognition and respect for Iraq’s political status, and therefore no interference is possible in its regard, and any interference will be met with widespread political and popular rejection.”
