“Some influential politicians are taking advantage of the window of currency sale to smuggle money out of Iraq and from there to the terrorist ISIS,” he added.
He pointed out that “one of the countries close to Iraq receives 11 million dollars daily in transfers to political parties (he did not name it).”

For his part, the representative of the Iraqi coalition, Jasim Al-Bakhati, confirmed the coalition’s insistence on questioning the governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb, in the House of Representatives due to accusations and corruption files, most notably the currency auction of the bank.
Al-Bakhati told Al-Furat News that if the fiscal budget for 2021 is approved, Parliament will go on a legislative vacation, with which all the interrogations will dissolve.
