The political analyst, Qassem Balshan, attributed, on Thursday, the postponement of the voting session on the budget law to the lack of agreement between the political blocs to pass it, while stressing that the scenario of the process of transferring the approval of the budget to the next sessions or until after the legislative recess.
Balshan said in an interview with the information agency, “The postponement process raises many questions and doubts, due to the aggravation of disputes that may impede the passing of the budget today,” noting that “in the continued delay in approving the budget, the power of street pressure and the many groups awaiting its approval will be stronger than Conflicts over personal interests between political blocs.
And he continued, “The scenario of the process of transferring the approval of the budget to the next sessions or until after the legislative recess is possible, given the deepening differences between the political blocs,” noting that “the main reason that impedes the approval of the budget is the preference of some political blocs for partisan interests at the expense of the interests of the people.” Iraqi.”
The House of Representatives had announced in a statement to postpone its session to vote on passing the budget law to eight o’clock in the evening after what was scheduled at one o’clock in the afternoon.
The economist, Nabil Al-Marsoumi, predicted, in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, “the inability of the political forces to pass the general budget law during the current year, while he confirmed that the deepening of the differences with the Kurdistan region regarding several files may hinder the vote on the law.”
