Today, Saturday, a member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Saadoun Al-Sudani, revealed a crucial meeting of the State Administration Coalition regarding the draft budget law.
Al-Sudani said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, “The Parliamentary Finance Committee ended discussions for all budget items and made some transfers and changes, the latest of which was the change that occurred regarding Articles 13 and 14 allocated to the Kurdistan region.”
He added, “The amendments related to the shares of the Kurdistan region caused a delay in approving the budget,” pointing out that “the ball is now in the court of the political blocs, that is, the state administration coalition.”
And the member of the House of Representatives explained that “an emergency meeting will be held very soon for the State Administration Coalition, regarding discussing the final version of the budget law,” noting that “the final and final decision will be theirs.”
And Al-Sudani: “After the meeting is completed, the budget will be presented to the Presidency of the House of Representatives for approval,” likely to “pass it during this week.”
The representative, who is from the Parliamentary Law Bloc, stated that “the budget is dependent on the meeting of the state coalition, in the presence of the coordination framework and other forces,” reiterating his assertion that “the meeting will witness a final agreement on the budget that will come to parliament to be approved.”
