A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Mahmoud Al-Hayani, confirmed, on Saturday, that the coordinating framework and all the blocs affiliated with it reached a semi-final agreement on the nomination of the former Minister of Interior, “Qasim Al-Araji” to the position of Prime Minister.
Al-Hayani said in an interview with Al-Maalouma that “Qasim Al-Araji’s success in assuming the Ministry of Interior, and all other positions in addition to international acceptance will make him able to lead the country to safety in the next government.”
He added, “The Coordinator has completed all the procedures for forming the government after deciding the position of the President of the Republic from the two Kurdish parties.”
The coordinating framework forces became the most numerous parliamentary bloc in the House of Representatives, after obtaining about 40 new seats, taking advantage of the resignation of members of the Sadrist bloc, which gives it the upper hand in the file of forming a government.
