The commander of the northern axis in the popular crowd Abu Reda al-Najjar, Saturday, that the next two days will see the cleanup of the cities and villages of Hawija full of mines and explosive devices and return displaced people to the logic of their housing.
Najjar said in a press statement that “the military operations ended in the towns and villages of Hawija south-west of Kirkuk,” pointing out that “the sixteenth brigade in the crowd and the victorious segments there carried out the clearance of areas liberated from IEDs and mines planted by elements urging to impede the progress of security forces.”
“The next two days will see the cleansing of cities and villages completely liberated south-west of Kirkuk,” Najjar said.
Najjar said that “joint committees were formed from the popular crowd and the tribes in the cities and villages south-west of Kirkuk to return displaced families to their areas of residence and eliminate the existing pockets of terrorists.”
