A politician close to the coordination framework, Saad al-Muttalbi, affirmed, on Saturday, that there will be no further postponement of the voting session on the draft federal budget law.
Al-Muttalbi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The forces of the coordination framework, along with the rest of the political forces, including the independents, will not be given another opportunity for delay, and that the resolution and passage of the law will inevitably take place today.”
He added, “In the event that a solution or agreement is not reached to the dispute between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Parliamentary Finance Committee during the remaining period of the postponement time, the House of Representatives will go to vote on the postponed paragraphs with a majority of the attendees.”
Al-Muttalbi pointed out, “The forces of the coordination framework are determined to pass the draft general budget law during today’s session.”
And the House of Representatives had postponed, at dawn on Saturday, voting on paragraphs 14 and 15 related to the Kurdistan region in the draft federal budget law, after a debate over them.
