5-30-2012 Adam Montana not much new to report OTHER THAN a possibility of Article 140 being pushed through, which would be very positive for the HCL and therefore also positive for our investment. Maliki is still on his throne, Chapter 7 has not been released, and the HCL is still in limbo. Iraq has and continues to make progress towards a higher valued Dinar. Nothing has happened to make me less confident in the Iraqi Dinar, so therefore it is my opinion that we’re looking for a positive outcome. [“continued in post 2…stay tuned”]

5-29-2012 Hammerman Maliki will be back in office and most folks will never know he was gone. This is what I was told you can believe or not. On friday IMF world bank BIS agreed to let 13 countries break out of the basket and rv. They will get better rate if they wait and RV with Iraq…I think they will wait to see if Iraq get on board…could be 8-10 days. We can’t rush this RV. It’s not being done on our time…I think this is Shabibi’s puppy and he gave the code book to the BIS and in that was the date and rate and we just haven’t reached that date yet.

5-27-2012 BGG The thing that strikes me is the absolute furious pace of meetings right now…everyone is meeting with everyone else…The general overview is this though – there is a furious pace of activity right now. This is good…with Maliki in office there will never be an RV. Bank on it. Once he’s gone or “muzzled” an RV is at least possible.

5-25-2012 BWM let me review for a second. IF you go back a little over a year the big “issue” was M’s 100 days. Then it was the GOI (but the goi was in place) then it was erbil (but contracts were being paid) then it was O, then the GOI again, then M, then end of the year, then GOI, then G, then M and all along we keep getting deadline after deadline..so what does that really tell us.. .IMO it says it’s NOT about Iraq but about their stability…all the “things” that ppl tell you we won’t see an RV until we see IMO are things that we won’t see until (simultaneously) we see an RV. 5-25-2012 Poppy3 They don’t exist yet, (Kurdish language bills) haven’t even been designed yet. The design could start in June. They don’t matter at all to our investment. Lower denoms are ready to distribute and 509 ATM machines have been loaded and ready to use since last February. Rest easy, all is well. Saturday will be big for all of us and it is the last day of the required 7 for Maliki…they have scheduled their deciding meeting for that day also. They are in a hurry just like we are. Several reports suggest he may work a deal to stay…While other reports suggests the votes are lining up against him and Parliament may even vote in secret as stated by “members of the coalition of state law,” they would vote in favor of withdrawal of confidence from the al-Maliki in the event of voting was “secret.” What we believe is happening is in fact a vote of no confidence is being orchestrated by the Fab 5. Maliki has been given an out to keep his position but he will have to relent on the 9 points and Ebril. If not we maintain there will be a vote. 5/21/2012 Delta If they no confidence Maliki then the replacement has to come from the National Coalition. This is the same group that Maliki controls. There is no one in that group that can replace him. If Maliki was such a bad guy the US would take him out. Maliki was put in there to hold the fort down until all was implemented and ready. Maliki is getting more popular with the people. He would win the next election. If Maliki was the problem, the PTB AKA the authors of the plan would take him out. Talibani is pushing hard to get the National Meeting and I doubt there will be a no confidence.

5/21/2012 Duckyboy We have to watch for the seated government and Erbil. I also believe that they are trying to get this done ASAP because of the tariffs starting. Some…believe that the tariffs have been pushed to July 1, but I have never read that anywhere. 5-21-2012 Poppy3  I have now read this in three places that they have this 7 day waiting period before the actual removal. I have noticed in the last 3 days maliki has been silenced and they quit paying any attention to anything he has said over a week AGO…He seems to have realized he is cooked.  I…think they are having all these progressive meeting’s daily as preparation for post maliki. The rv appears to be a very front and center subject.  Dr shabibi has been in meetings at least 12 of the last 14 days addressing all phases of financial subjects and the effect changes will have for Iraq and the global economies. Best timing guess at this point in time is rv will take us into the first week or two of june at best. I still believe they can rv from this moment on but if the Dr. Has waited for a seated GOI and Erbil this long why would he change his mind now??? 5-20-2012 BGG  “Breaking News: All the leaders in today’s meeting have agreed to withdraw confidence from the Maliki”  There was a “mini-summit” meeting of the Erbil 5 yesterday in Najaf (an additional “secret” meeting will be held today). While everyone was upset early in the day about the negative press, secrecy and possible extensions…even though it appeared to be dragging out…I had a funny feeling (no matter what the press was) – It was about to “officially – HIT THE FAN”…and now here we are.

5-20-2012  SWFloridaGuywe are just witnessing the necessary, procedural steps that can’t be bypassed. First we have the interrogation; next the no-confidence; and finally, once we have a stable GOI and Erbil implementation, Shabibi and the CBI will move ahead with the reforming of their currency project and the raising of the exchange rate.   A week after they interrogate him we should see a vote and he should be out. I think it will happen quickly. 5-17-2012 Adam MontanaIf they don’t plan on raising the value – why would they change anything?!  If they l0p, they lose money. Without a raise in value, they shouldn’t redenominate. Since they plan on redenominating, they must be planning on raising the value to cover the expenses of said redenomination, and when the value raises – WE make money. This is and always will be one of my main reasons and arguments for staying the course.

5/16/2012 Footforward UNTIL THE RATE GOES LIVE EVERYWHERE, AND IS LOCKED IN AT THE SAME RATE, AND WE ARE TOLD TO CASH IN, ALL RATES ON BANK SCREENS ARE TESTS. PERIOD. Expect to see great news Thursday the 17th and Maliki’s deadline for implementation. That guy is such a fool, he should have made a deal when he could have two months ago, and our show would have been over by now. Now he stands and more than likely lose everything politically and possibly personally.

5/13/2012 Frank26 I do NOT see Maliki being voted out. For a few months now Dr S has been largely silent. It seems that he is currently taking centre stage in matters…it seems that everywhere he goes, he has an entourage’ of World Bank ‘dignitaries’ at his side. Things are being told to the citizens on TV that show immediacy and they TOLD US they would be doing this just prior to the RV. The UN operation rate of exchange SDR for Iraq is yet to be updated for 2012. This is a huge break in pattern. Chapter 7 seems likely to be lifted in June as it has…momentum. Tariffs seems certain to be enforced by July 1st. I expect to see the RV not later than the end of June.

Central Bank of Iraq revealed a slight decrease in the demand for hard currency. The governor of the Bank’s Shabibi / JD / “The demand for hard currency fell slightly after the adoption of new procedures to reduce the fluctuation of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar.” Shabibi noted “that the bank released the hard currency and freely available to customers within the guidelines.” The Governor of the Central Bank, “The new procedures through which the bank is trying to prevent money laundering.” The parliamentary finance committee confirmed earlier that the central bank put severe restrictions on the sale of foreign exchange and requires that the buyer of the dollar has a bank account and leave import and lists of commercial tax in addition to settling accounts. A member of the Committee and MP for the Liberal bloc Majida al-Tamimi’s / JD / “The meeting between the Finance Committee today with the Governor of the Central Bank and some representatives from the bank and gave reasons for the high price of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar.” She said Read more…

5/9/2012 Adam Montana Lately there has been a DEPRESSINGLY LOW amount of actual “news”. … I used to have a whole laundry list of things that needed to happen before an RV. That list has whittled down to TWO things: HCL, and Chapter 7. That’s IT. The RV will not happen until those two things happen.
