7-25-2012 Newshound Guru Kaperoni lets look a bit closer on where the dinar will go post RV…Can Iraq collect it and pay for it? I don’t think that this the plan. The Dinar will not he bought or sold overseas. The CBI will be the Central Bank for the dinar handling the monetary policy. And once they RV, the dinar will become an international reserve currency (as the dinar you and I own is collected and held). When will it become a foreign reserve currency? The answer is clear…That once they “delete 3 zeros” that will start the process (collection) to create the foreign reserves “they aspire to be part of.” As well we see they want to “give power” to the Iraqi currency internationally. 7-24-2012 Intel Guru BWM there’s really not much to say right now in regards to the actual RV…banks not dealing with the dinar because it would remain an “exotic” currency is just so far out there…it completely defeats the purpose of giving value to your currency whatsoever.

I think the hold-up right now is the NA wants the IS and KA to put the idea of a NC vote “post-power sharing” to bed. That’s my take and has always been Maliki’s big fear. Which could be over at any time. There has been talk of interrogating Maliki no matter what – once the NC meeting is held. Maliki does have something to fear – he isn’t in danger – he is the danger. Maliki is “the real deal” when it comes to bad guys – if they get him in front of Parliament he’s cooked. 7-16-2012 Newshound Guru SWFloridaGuy the fact that they are negotiating Iraq’s accession to the WTO is substantial. Iraq has to have a convertible currency. Membership is considered on an individual, case-specific basis. Once the terms are finalized, they are submitted to the WTO’s General Council. If two-thirds of the members vote in favor, than Iraq may accede to the WTO. To convolute matters, since Iraq’s plan is to dedollarize and not continue using the USD as their primary currency, they need to make the IQD a convertible one as accession stipulates. They are up for review and negotiating now. This is a great sign for us and one that points to the IQD becoming an internationally tradeable currency. Read more…

7-15-2012 Newshound Guru SWFloridaguy Allawi said that the IMA meeting is over and they need to more forward with the No Confidence vote on Maliki, this is direct from Allawi. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are trying to get a deal in the works by keeping the pressure on in order to come to a compromise. 7-10-2012 Newshound Guru SWFloridaGuy Many will say, “what about Kuwait, they RVd just like we want the IQD to.” That’s just not true. Kuwait never revalued their currency. The central bank did not change the rate. Saddam outlawed the Kuwaiti dinar and it fell in value. He told people to trade in their Kuwaiti dinar for Iraqi dinar before Oct. 6, 1990. When the U.S. stepped in, the value did again rise. This was not due to the bank changing the rate but rather the black market, similar to what Saddam did with the dinar in the late 80s. The Kuwait Central Bank never adjusted the rate below 3 dollars. They were occupied by Iraq and business was halted. Seven months later when Kuwait was back on their feet, they redenominated with the previous exchange rate. Actually, this was neither a RI or RD, by the true definition. I talked…with SS friend and he said they have no schedule or agenda yet for the beginning of parliment. SEEMS they are being kept in the dark also at this point. IT is…unusual for them to at least not have a tentative schedule and brief outline of proposed agenda. They were supposed to start in the morning…Time will tell but Maliki has not budged on implimentation of anything. We need to look for the setting of the National meeting which is a public announcement of the GOI and the Strategic Council, look only for articles showing this. Looks like the National Meeting will be this week. There is supposed to be a prep meeting today to set the agenda for the National Meeting. Things are starting to come into line. When they finish the National Meeting, they will announce the GOI, and all of the shackles will be taken off Shabibi and he will do what he needs to do. We are looking are looking for a series of events that will take the shackles off. This is event driven, not date driven. The rate has to carry the budget, about $3.41, and will be a managed float. 7-5-2012 Breitling Unbelievable news coming out confirming they are going to raise value of currency…Every time Shabibi mentioned this…Maliki would ask for a study…now the GOI is on board…this is going to happen no matter what…I don’t know exactly how this is going to play out or what the rate will be…I have not seen anything negative yet…Kick back and relax!

7-5-2012 Kaperoni we have never seen as many articles coming out relating to the currency. The new currency comes out after they change the exchange rate. So, this event will occur in the very near future. I’m going out on a limb and saying 90 days or less…There’s going to be a period of time where the rate changes and Shabibi will use that time to get citizens to utilize the banks. Large denoms will not be accepted at a merchant level. Iraqis will have to turn large notes into the banks where it will be dealt with electronically and the paper notes removed from circulation. The large notes will retain their value. Iraqi citizens will gain a bank account and buying power. We believe Shabibi already has removed a large portion from circulation. Initially the exchange rate will be 1 to 1 or possibly .86 cents and then from there it will continue to raise over time. Read more…
