8-31-2012 Intel Guru Footforward The chaos is really at a level that is unreal. It is outrageous what the excuses are. Do I believe the negative info, not at all, none of it makes any sense. They want to be a powerful country. You can’t do that if you don’t have a strong international currency. Shabibi has said that they will have the highest valued currency in the Middle East and the entire world. The dinar previously to being at the value it is now was $3.22, a strong value. Iraq has everything to back this. We are going to an asset backed currency. People say they can’t sustain a $3 or $4 rate, are you kidding me, or people say they have to slowly raise the value, I’m going to say “not”! That does them no good, doesn’t benefit them. Iraq isn’t in control, Iraq desperately wants out of Chapter 7. I am expecting double digits and because of all the chaos, I am expecting something to happen immediately. 8-29-2012 Newshound Guru Adam Montana It is now a couple Wednesdays since Ramadan wrapped up and a lot of people are wondering what is going on and “where we are”… we are seeing a BUNCH of news in a possibly unexpected arena…BANKING. The GOI is making very subtle but very STRONG moves to implement banking and maintain control of exactly which Iraqi banks are able to expand to outside of Iraq and which foreign banks are able to come INTO Iraq. These are VERY GOOD for us! In order for the Iraqi Dinar to become quickly tradeable as a world currency (at a higher rate of course!), we need to have sophisticated and efficient banking and communications systems in place. 8-27-2012 Newshound Guru SWFloridaGuy There was a great report today that said the meeting between the Prime Minister and the Speaker was fruitful and stressed the need to name the Interior and Defense Ministers in the “Next few days.” That is excellent news. Parliament is also reconvening tomorrow to vote on pending laws and there is still talk of an upcoming National Meeting. None of this says Iraq will revalue their currency but the CBI has told us that GOI stability (power-sharing govt., necessary financial laws etc.), is essential for them to move forward with their economic reforms. When I look at the general progress Iraq is making right now, I can’t help but feel encouraged. Reform rather than further disunion is certainly preferable and while the GOI displaying congruity is a great sign, we still need to see the follow-through. They both addressed what we continue to contend are key issues before currency reform will occur. A quote from the first article stated “MP Mustafa further added that an important law drafting, which is concerned with oil and natural gas, should take place under the participation of UN to wipe out all the previous disputes between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Central Government.” What we find encouraging is there appears to be a seriousness to address the Ebril issues to the point of “mediation” by the UN.
