He added, “In light of the current political blockage and Parliament’s inability to perform its constitutional duties, the Alliance for the People took the initiative on the twenty-fifth of last month to submit a request to the Speaker and his two deputies to hold an emergency session of the House of Representatives on May 7 to resolve the crisis,” stressing Commitment to “this initiative and adherence to it, and in light of the lack of approval to hold this session and the continuation of the state of paralysis in the work of the House of Representatives and the disruption of the interests of the people, we would like to indicate that we will proceed to file a legal case with the Federal Court to demand the suspension of the salaries of the representatives who continue to boycott the sessions, considering that this is perjury in the Constitutional oath.

And the statement continued, “In view of the initiatives launched by the conflicting political blocs on the administration of the state, in which they called on independent representatives to choose an independent prime minister without calling for the selection of an independent president of the republic as well, we affirm, in an alliance for the people, our keenness and desire to communicate with all independent representatives, and we are fully prepared to support the formation of The government adopted by any independent party, with our non-participation in it, and our affirmation of our commitment to attend all parliamentary sessions, and we will not be a reason to disrupt the political process.”

Emphasis was placed on “granting our votes to any figure agreed upon by the independent representatives to form the next government according to the following conditions: First / that he be an independent Iraqi, honest, patriotic and not on any suspicion of corruption, and that he is not of dual nationals. Second / that he is not joint with the parties in power Previously, it was not part of the quota governments.

Third / That all political blocs and independent representatives pledge not to interfere or impose wills, neither in the process of forming the government nor in its management later by the person in charge, in order that the next government will not be a government of quotas.

Fourth / that the person in charge presents a realistic government program that touches people’s lives and their requirements and addresses the challenges that afflict the Iraqi reality in all areas of life.
