On Saturday, the leader in the coordination framework, Turki Al-Atbi, confirmed the existence of a political consensus to push the 2023 budget to vote in the middle of next week.
Al-Atbi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the 2023 budget has become almost settled by the Finance Committee after an extensive discussion of its items in the past weeks,” stressing that “there is consensus to put it to vote in the middle of next week, that is, Monday or Tuesday.”
He added, “The Finance Committee proposed solutions to some complex items in the 2023 budget, and it will be presented to the House of Representatives, including the budget for the development of the regions, the share of the region, the volume of loans, and the fiscal deficit.”
The leader of the tire explained, “The price of a barrel of oil remained at $70, according to the information, and it was not changed by the Finance Committee.”
The Parliamentary Finance Committee is conducting extensive discussions in order to resolve the items of the 2023 budget and put it to a vote.
