On Thursday, the leader of the Unified Anbar Alliance, Dari al-Dulaimi, revealed the existence of negotiations between the coalitions of Anbar, Azm and Sovereignty to announce a unified political front and overthrow Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi.
Al-Dulaimi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “Political understandings are taking place between the Unified Anbar Alliance, Azm and a number of deputies of the Sovereignty Coalition regarding collecting sufficient signatures to remove Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi from his post,” revealing that “the expectation is for the issuance of a decision by the President of the Sovereignty Coalition, Khamis al-Khanjar, to officially separate.” About Al-Halbousi.
He added, “The movement led by the head of the Azm Muthanna al-Samarrai coalition and the head of the Unified Anbar Alliance, Rafi al-Issawi, is receiving a response from the political forces and figures in the Sunni provinces, and that a new Sunni political front will emerge in a short period.”
Al-Dulaimi pointed out that “the movement was not limited to the Sunni forces, but the forces of the coordination framework will soon be moved.”
And the independent politician, Saad Al-Muttalbi, had confirmed the imminent announcement of comprehensive political and governmental changes, foremost of which was the dismissal of Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi.
