Today, Sunday, Adviser to the Prime Minister, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, revealed the latest developments regarding the preparation of the country’s draft general budget law for the year 2022, while pointing to automatic tendencies towards borrowing.
Saleh told the “National News Center” website, “The stages of preparing the country’s draft general budget law for the year 2022 are nearing completion.”
And he indicated that “the 2022 budget law will not be much different from the current year’s 2021 budget, except in total spending, which may rise by 10%.”
He added that “there is a financial deficit in the draft budget 2022, but it did not exceed 50% of the hypothetical deficit in the 2021 budget,” attributing the reason to “the high price of a barrel of oil in global markets, and its inclusion in the 2022 budget at $50 per barrel instead of $45.” “.
