Al-Saadi said in a statement to the Al-Ma’louma Agency, “Although the Council is not aware of the Sudanese visit’s schedule and what the files are, we know that the file of the Americans’ exit from Iraq will have priority,” noting that “the Council will stand behind the Sudanese’s decisions and support them.”
He added, “The Iraqi government’s efforts to remove foreign forces are serious, but at the same time they are confronted by foreign efforts to keep those forces under what are called sustainable strategic relations,” indicating that the strategic agreement is what keeps Iraq in this cycle, from which Iraq has not benefited for a decade and a half.
