A member of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Ali Al-Fatlawi, called today, Wednesday, for the need for the government to move toward installing air defenses and modern radar devices, while stressing that Turkey’s bombing and military incursion have reached a stage that cannot be silenced.
Al-Fatlawi said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “Iraq is proceeding with international diplomatic measures towards ending Turkish military transgressions on Iraqi territory,” noting that “Al-Sudani has called on more than one occasion not to use Iraq as a means to settle scores and carry out attacks.”
He continued, “The government is required to preserve the independence and sovereignty of Iraq from the external attacks that Ankara has been carrying out for years,” pointing out that “it is necessary for the government to move towards installing air defenses and modern radar devices.”
Al-Fatlawi concluded his speech: “Activating the security apparatus and introducing air defenses is a matter of utmost importance in order to limit the ongoing military violations against the country,” noting that “Turkey’s bombing and military incursion have reached a stage that cannot be silenced.”
The security and strategic expert, Fadel Abu Ragheef, had criticized, in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “the performance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the continued Turkish bombing of the country,” while he confirmed that the Turkish forces’ incursion had led to the bombing of more than 4,000 areas over the past four years in northern Iraq.
Turkish forces continue to launch repeated attacks on northern Iraq under the pretext of fighting the Kurdistan Workers’ Party.
