On Saturday, the spokesman for the Al-Sadiqun Parliamentary Bloc, Muhammad Al-Baldawi, revealed the most prominent obstacles that impede the approval of the financial budget law, while it was likely to vote on the law after the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.
Al-Baldawi said in a televised interview: “The Finance and Planning Committees are continuing their meetings to complete the financial budget,” noting that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani expressed his willingness to attend the House of Representatives regarding explaining the details of the financial budget.
He added, “There are disagreements regarding oil prices in the financial budget,” pointing out, “there is no consensus yet on including the financial budget on Sunday’s session.”
Al-Baldawi added that the vote on the financial budget will take place after the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, explaining that “there are fears among some about approving a budget for three years, despite the Prime Minister’s assurances that its approval will facilitate the government’s work.”
