Today, Thursday, the leader of the United Anbar Alliance, Mohammed al-Dulaimi, accused Sunni political blocs and parties of standing against the project to end the American presence in Iraq.
Al-Dulaimi told Al-Maalouma Agency that “Sunni political blocs and parties are obstructing any decision that paves the way for the withdrawal of American forces from their bases in Iraq because that harms their interests.”
He revealed secret implicit agreements between these blocs to reject the evacuation of foreign forces from Iraq.
He added, “The first beneficiary of the presence of American forces is the dismissed Speaker of Parliament, Mohammed al-Halbousi, indicating that al-Halbousi did not adopt any decision towards the exit of the American occupier.”
