Law: The movement to expel US forces from the country is a joke

Member of the State of Law Coalition, Haider Al-Lami, confirmed today, Monday, that Iraq no longer needs the presence of any combat forces in the country, while pointing out that achieving full sovereignty requires the existence of national unity.
Al-Lami said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “America has acknowledged Iraq’s ability to protect its lands and that it does not need foreign forces,” noting that “the issue of military forces remaining in the country is a joke.”
He added that “the issue of the American presence in Iraq is supposed to lead to solutions as a result of the procrastination method that it is pursuing,” noting that “achieving full sovereignty for the country can be achieved by removing these forces, and this issue also requires the existence of national unity.”
He pointed out that “there is popular rejection of the practices carried out by American forces in the country, whether in the past or currently.”
It is noteworthy that the current government decided some time ago to form joint committees to work on removing American forces after the numerous violations they committed in Iraq.
