Disclosure Of The Frameworks Most Prominent Candidates For Prime MinisterInformation/special.

A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ali Hussein, revealed, on Wednesday, the most prominent names nominated by the coordination framework to take over the position of prime minister, while stressing that the paper of the independent deputy in the name of Khashan was not raised among the framework forces.

Hussein said in an interview with “The Information”, that “the most prominent names nominated, whose name was put forward among the forces of the coordination framework for the position of prime minister, are three, most notably the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, who took over from 2006 to 2014.”

He added, “The other candidate is the former Minister of Interior Qassem Al-Araji, and the third person is the former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani,” stressing that “the coordinating framework did not consider nominating the independent deputy, Basem Khashan, for the presidency.”

A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance indicated that he is inclined towards choosing Al-Sudani for the prime minister, “because he distinguishes between relations and work, the political situation, political parties and benefits, not to mention that he is a strong and non-controversial figure.”

Political analyst Haitham al-Khazali had confirmed, earlier, that the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, would face strong competition with the rest of the candidates of the coordination framework forces over the position, while noting that the Sunnis and Kurds would not have any problem, whether al-Maliki or others were named before. The framework is a condition to guarantee their interests
