Turkmen politician Abbas Al-Agha confirmed, on Thursday, that the insistence on passing the Food Security Law by the Triple Alliance raises suspicions.

In an interview with the Information Agency, Al-Agha said, “The insistence on the Food Security Law, despite its rejection, raises suspicions about major corruption in the funds allocated within the law.”

He added that “billions of dollars have been allocated in the law to satisfy certain political parties within the tripartite alliance, so the Iraqi judiciary must say its word again and reject this law even if Parliament voted for it.”

The Finance Committee in the House of Representatives presented the law on food security yesterday, despite the rejection of the law submitted by the government
