7-20-2014 Intel/Newshound Guru Poppy3 [9:53 AM] I WAS TOLD A FEW MINUTES AGO THAT THERE SEEMS TO BE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN PARTIES THAT REGARDLESS OF WHO THE NEW PRIME MINISTER WILL BE THEY HAVE AGREED TO ASK TURKI TO REMAIN AS THE GOVERNOR OF THE CBI. IF THIS IS TRUE AND I FEEL SURE IT IS THEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PM IS SEATED THE RV IS POSSIBLE AT ANY MOMENT FORWARD. THIS IS GREAT NEWS BECAUSE THAT ELIMINATES US HAVING TO WAIT TO SEE WHO THE NEW PM WOULD APPOINT TO THAT POSITION. I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU GUYS BUT MY EXCITEMENT HAS RISEN TO A MUCH HIGHER LEVEL TODAY.

7-20-2014 Intel/Newshound Guru Tlar The SOL has all but dumped Maliki as their nominee. Maliki said he will resign in exchange for two things….Immunity of all charges even murder and if he gets to pick the next PM are what he wants in exchange for his resignation…The SOL’s power base has also been eroding as many of their members (about half or more) have come out against Maliki. The SOL has said they will offer three nominees…. The coalition has also offered up three nominees. Either Chalabi or Mahdi will ultimately be the prime minister….The PM position may take a few days past Wednesday…

7-20-2014 Intel/Newshound Guru Tlar …things are shaping up for the Wednesday parliamentary meeting. The Kurds have decided on their President of the Republic (POR). The Shia and the Sunni each have picked their people for VP positions. Negotiations are still on going for the PM position but Jubouri, the new President of the Parliament (POP) is not letting any grass grow under his feet. Earlier this week he set up committees to re-write the budget and…he has stated the budget could be passed before the government is completely formed. I believe next week he will submit it to parliament for its first and second reading, and then they will vote and publish it as law.

7-20-2014 RUMOR Guru EXOGEN There will be 2 announcements from Iraq for Presidencies… When the Presidencies are announced, the PM announcement will FOLLOW or take place SIMULTANEOUSLY. The RV will not be announced. The new Prime Minister will be Announced. Maliki is no longer an ISSUE at this time.

[so is it possible we may see the reality rate before 2015?] it is possible to see the rates done at anytime. they are saying…that they can finish the budget without having the president and pm in place as long as they have quorum so they are moving forward with it in parliament.

AT THIS TIME IT IS ONLY A LEAK TO THE STREET BUT WITH THE TIMING OF IT AFTER A LARGE FINANCIAL MEETING IT SOUNDS VERY PROBABLE TURKI IS THE MAN THEY HAVE ALL AGREED ON. ALSO IN THINKING ABOUT HOW THIS IS HAPPENING I SUSPECT THEY ARE PRETTY SOLID ON KNOWING WHOM THE NEW PM IS GOING TO BE. I WAS TOLD A COUPLE WEEKS AGO IT YOU REMEMBER THAT THEY ASSURED THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ THAT THE NEW PM WILL BE SOMEONE THAT WILL BE INCLUSIVE OF ALL IRAQ. THE CLOSER WE GET TO HIM BEING NAMED OFFICIALLY TELLS ME TURKI WILL KNOW AHEAD OF TIME AND THAT MAKES THE POSSIBILITIES FOR HIM TO ACT FASTER . TIME WILL TELL VERY SOON.

Just his presence will bring a calming affect to all involved.

7-19-2014 Intel Guru TD Dinarland is always jumping the gun when it comes to currency reform. While the goal of graduating to international markets from a program rate is on everyone’s radar, the means to get there took several steps back with recent turmoil. Just the fact that the factions are “talking” is a huge victory as they “try” to regroup and save an “identity” known as Iraq. Make no mistake though that we are NOT out of the woods just yet and WHETHER they can build an inclusive, functioning and stable government is what the entire world is waiting to see. Introduction of currency reform is a mute point until this happens.

7-19-2014 Intel Guru TD I was able to learn that Maliki seems to have finally come to grips with the fact that he must go. At this stage he is still hoping for his party to rule and whether he can call plays from the sidelines. My Kurdish friend indicates the Kurds are at least “listening” to participate in a new Iraq. They are not abandoning their dreams of independence and so if the deal is not both “Soon enough” and “The right deal”, then all bets are off. Lots of political tug of war still to be seen in the months ahead.
