12-27-2012: Iraqi Dinar Guru guesses!!!
12-27-2012 Newshound Guru Administrator Bob Article quote: “…currency is torn or is glued or subject to paste and become those currencies that circulated Iraqi citizen concern has as taking vendors and shopkeepers and markets cars are reluctant to receive money after that became this Banknotes very old without attempt to renew…” We see this article clearly stating that Iraq’s currency is in dire need to be replaced. This is a direct result of the CoM/Maliki refusing to allow the Central Bank of Iraq’s delete 3 zeros plan to proceed earlier this year. What new strategy will unfold is yet to be seen.
12-27-2012 Newshound Guru Med NOW, WITH MALIKI REFUSING TO TESTIFY IN PARLIAMENT, BASICALLY TAKING THE 5TH HOW CAN THEY NOT BE RUSHING TO PARLIAMENT TO VOTE HIM OUT. ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS MISSING THAT IS NOT CAUSING FEAR IN MALIKI. WHO IS PROTESTING AND WHO IS NOT? THE SUUNI’S ARE IN THE STREETS AND THE SHIA’S ARE NOT, THAT IS WHY MALIKI IS NOT SHAKING. THERE IS SO MANY ARTICLES ON RIOTS, PROTESTING, THREATS AGAINST ANYONE WHO SPEAKS AGAINST MALIKI. EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW IN IRAQ IS IN CHAOS, TOTAL CHAOS.
12-27-2012 Newshound Guru SWFloridaGuy I have no way of knowing for sure but I do feel great about where we’re at going into 2013. This just could be our year, only time will tell. Hopefully, we’ll all cross the finish line together soon and celebrate this long journey finally coming to an end. I would have imagined it’s in their best interest to start this yesterday. It does seem like we’re close.
12-26-2012 Newshound Guru SWFloridaGuy There was a great article today that said “Iraq is about to join the World Trade Organization.” In my opinion Iraq applying for WTO accession is a great sign for investors because a convertible currency is necessary for Iraq to join the WTO. Certain countries who are WTO members do use the USD but Iraq’s goal is for their primary currency to be the IQD and eventually dedollarize. We also believe this is an obligatory stipulation for accession where they are concerned. When the principles and policies are in place, additional negotiations will commence between Iraq and member countries. The terms will be finalized and submitted to the General Council. If 2/3 of the members vote in favor, than Iraq may accede to the WTO. I’m not saying Iraq is about to RV for that reason, I’m simply laying out the process.

12-26-2012 Intel Guru Delta Iraq, the CBI, is increasing their purchase of gold to back up their currency, adding to the reserves. They started doing that back in September. This is indirectly telling us they will revalue. The rate will shock a lot of people in a good way, looks like they are looking for a higher rate. There is a banking conference that is to take place on January 11th & 12th with the surrounding middle eastern countries. If they don’t have the intent or the plan to revalue their currency, than this meeting has no meaning. You cannot go international with a currency without Article 8. Article 8 is what makes your currency tradeable internationally. I truly think that 2013 will be happy for all of us.
12-26-2012 Intel Guru Frank26 They have done the final discussion on the budget. They will vote on the budget before January 20, 2012 [2013?]. The U.S. is about to put pressure on Maliki. They have been keeping a close eye on him.
12-26-2012 Newshound Guru SWFloridaGuy The Iraqi parliament decided today to adjourn its regular session until January 8 due to lack of quorum. You’d think with so many important items on the docket (CBI policy etc.), deputies would show up for work… Iraq is moving forward IMO but they sure do it at their own pace, which is way too slow for us Westerners. Despite their best efforts, I do think that Iraq will become a leader in the region. Eventually, international pressure and corporate investment will appeal to the politicians sense of greed, which makes an economic recovery most likely inevitable.
12-26-2012 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Article: “Expert: system (split national) will promote the credit card business and facilitate the circulation of money in the market” This seems like a very important step to get implemented. IMO…this seems like something that would occur “after” they raise the value. Otherwise, they could have a real problem dealing with accounts/removal of zeros etc. afterwards. The good news is they want to do it “early 2013″ which means the change in value could be before or near that time frame.
