Fly Erbil Airlines announced on Thursday that it had obtained an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, in a move it said paves the way for a new phase of development and expansion of its flight network.
The company stated in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that obtaining the certificate came after years of work and efforts made by its management and staff in various departments, stressing its commitment to safety and security standards and regulations adopted in the aviation sector.
She added that this step represents support for the development of air transport in the Kurdistan Region and throughout Iraq, noting her intention to expand her flight network to include Iraqi cities and new destinations in the region and the world, in addition to developing her services to keep pace with global standards and meet the aspirations of travelers.
Fly Erbil, headquartered in Erbil, expressed its gratitude to the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, the management of Erbil International Airport, and the supporting entities, stressing that obtaining the certificate represents the beginning of a new phase in its journey.
