Zain Iraq confirmed, on Sunday, that the decision of the Court of First Instance of Al-Karkh today is unfair and disastrous against the Iraqis and the Iraqi economy, surprising this insistence on delaying the deployment of fourth generation services, which will represent an obstacle in the acceleration of Iraq’s keeping pace with technological development while the fifth generation is deployed In the countries of the world and the region.
The company stated in a statement, “The decision to grant the fourth generation license by the Council of Ministers was a strategic decision and in the right direction, and it will have a great impact in the fields of economy, education, health and security, and will prevent corruption through the application of electronic governance and other applications.”
She added, “Since the first day of the decision to grant the fourth generation license, Zain Iraq has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in developing and spreading the fourth generation network, which reached a rate of more than 90% to provide the best service befitting the Iraqi subscriber to keep pace with technological development.”
She pointed out, “The court’s decision today to stop the procedures for publishing and launching fourth generation services will have a negative impact on the Iraqis, and at the same time it will undermine the confidence of investment companies to work and invest in Iraq.”
Zain Iraq affirmed its commitment to the Iraqi people and its follow-up of the issue and maintains its legal right to demand compensation for the damages it will suffer from this unfair and disastrous decision, and at the same time renews its high confidence in the Iraqi judicial system, which will have a decision on this matter.
