The former representative of the Wisdom Movement, Muhammad al-Lakash, considered, on Sunday, the rebellion against the decisions of the Federal Court and its rejection by the Kurdistan Democratic Party as portending dire and dangerous consequences, while stressing that Israel and America will fail Al-Party as they have failed their clients in other countries.
Al-Lakash told the “Information” agency, “The rebellion against the decisions of the Federal Court, its rejection and non-submission to it, the insulting of its members, the provocative and undisciplined statements of the feelings of millions of Iraqis, the recklessness and foolishness that were issued by some members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and who occupy executive positions portend grave and dangerous consequences.”
He added, “The Kurdistan Democratic Party was the one who opposed, in previous sessions, the passage of the oil and gas laws and other federal laws,” stressing that “the federal authorities should not deal with the administrative authority in the region.”
Al-Lakash stressed, “The region’s authority is rebellious against the existing political system and the Iraqi constitution and an authority outside the law,” calling for “the Public Prosecution to issue arrest warrants against Iraqi oil smugglers and tax thieves at border crossings in northern Iraq.”
And the former deputy added, “Israel and behind them America will fail the Party, as they have failed their clients in other countries,” warning “the Kurdistan Democratic Party against playing with fire and transgressing the Iraqi constitution and laws.”
The representative of the Wisdom Movement was surprised by the silence of the House of Representatives and the leaders of the political blocs against the rebellion of Barzani’s party against the constitution and the decisions of the Federal Court, which will open the door for other parties to revolt as well.
