White House - Obama and Abadi agreed to tighten the security of the Green Zone[Oan- follow] the
White House said on Saturday that US President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Haider al – Abadi agreed on the need to tighten security in the heavily fortified Green Zone in Baghdad after storming protesters for this region.
A statement from the White House , “Obama spoke by telephone with al – Abadi and pointed to the need for talks so that the Iraqi people to address these aspirations through democratic institutions.”
Obama also commend the steps taken by the Government Abadi to finalize the agreement with the International Monetary Fund and said that it is important to support the the international community Iraqi economic recovery during the fight to regulate Daash. ”
