Information/Erbil..
Informed sources revealed on Sunday that unprecedented activity was recorded inside the Harir base near Erbil, the largest of its kind in about three months.
A source told Al-Maalomah that “Al-Harir Air Base, where US forces are stationed, has witnessed significant activity since the early morning hours, including a large influx of helicopters, particularly Chinooks, likely originating from US bases in Syria or other locations.” The source added that “this intense activity suggests the possibility of equipment or troop transfers, as the continuous aircraft movements since the early morning indicate something is happening,” noting that “the strict security measures surrounding the base remain in place.”
The source pointed out that “Al-Harir Air Base is one of the most important communication and logistical support points for US forces, especially those in Syria, serving as a center for rotating troops and equipment over many months.”
The source explained that “this current activity is the first of its kind in three months, after the base had been almost completely closed off with strict security measures in place, particularly regarding air traffic in its vicinity.”
