US President Donald Trump said on Friday evening that the Iran issue “will be over soon,” noting that it is in a “difficult situation.”
Trump predicted, in statements monitored by Shafaq News Agency, that oil prices would drop to pre-war levels and perhaps even lower once the war with Iran ends.
On the other hand, the US president stated that Europe has large quantities of diesel and will make a significant contribution to the global market as well as the United States.
He continued: We have a very good relationship with Europe and it is ready to contribute because it has large quantities of diesel, and the United States will not impose a ban on diesel exports.
Earlier, Trump announced that Europe had agreed to release a “huge amount” of diesel fuel.
In addition, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the leaders of the G7 countries agreed to pump 100 million barrels of diesel and crude oil from their reserves into the markets over the next four months.
Historically high diesel prices within the European Union, coupled with growing concern over the possibility of the United States imposing a ban on diesel exports, have sparked a wave of calls for action within the bloc.
