To boost oil reserves, trial pumping operations begin at the new Samawah storage facility.

On Wednesday, the technical and engineering staff at the Samawah refinery began the trial pumping of oil products to the new Samawah depot belonging to the Oil Pipelines Company, via a temporary pumping station.
In an official statement, the director of the refinery department, Khaled Naama Hassan, confirmed that the technical, administrative and safety requirements have been completed, in coordination with the oil pipeline and oil products distribution companies, in preparation for the new warehouse to enter operation.
The warehouse will enhance storage capacity and streamline the supply of petroleum products to Al-Muthanna Governorate and neighboring governorates.
