Shafaq News/ The General Company for Automotive and Equipment Industry, one of the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, announced on Sunday the production of the first batch of the new Chinese (BAIC) X25 cars, in cooperation with the investing company, Zamzam Spring International.
The Director of the Automobile and Specialized Equipment Factory, Nahed Rashid Al-Salihi, said in a statement received to Shafaq News Agency, that the new BAIC cars bear modern specifications and are equipped with all safety and security conditions, and are subject to quality inspection and control processes, and are witnessing demand and desire in the Iraqi market and the demand of citizens.
He pointed out that the company’s cadres of engineers and technicians completed, with self-efforts, the assembly and production of the first batch of (120) cars, of which (80) cars are ready and (40) others are in the process of being examined, pointing out that work is continuing to assemble and produce the second batch of 120 cars as well. And other batches, depending on the capabilities of the company’s cadres with experience and training in assembling different types of cars.
Al-Salihi explained that the assembly line and production of cars consists of (30) assembly stations and (6) main inspection stations by specialized and trained examiners in this work, stressing that the new BAIC cars operate with a highly efficient engine and that the specifications of the engine and gearbox are similar to those of the engine. The Director of the Automobile and Specialized Equipment Factory also indicated that BAIC cars are offered for sale at an appropriate price in cash through the marketing company’s branches and the branches of the investing company, and in installments through the Rafidain and Al-Rasheed banks, with a one-year warranty for vehicle maintenance and repair for a technical or manufacturing defect through the company’s maintenance workshops in the governorates of Baghdad, Karbala and Najaf Ashraf and Basra.
In the same context, Al-Salihi noted that the company continues to produce Peugeot and Saipa cars with modern specifications, with (20) Peugeot cars and (18) Saipa cars daily, and they are offered for sale at reasonable prices, in cash and in installments, with a one-year guarantee.
