The State of Law Coalition stressed on Wednesday its commitment to all of its candidates who were nominated to fill ministerial positions in the government formation.
Former MP and coalition leader Jassim Mohammed Jaafar told Al-Maalouma News Agency that “the vote on the cabinet was marred by doubts about the vote count for the coalition’s candidates, and some candidates from other blocs called for filing a complaint with the Federal Court,” noting that “the parliamentary session for the vote was accompanied by doubts and confusion, especially regarding the mechanism and method of counting the votes of the MPs present in the hall.”
He added, “The State of Law Coalition is still holding firm to its nominees for ministerial posts, who did not receive enough votes to be approved in Parliament,” stressing that the coalition is following up on the legal and political procedures related to this matter.
