The Iraqi Parliament’s leadership directed on Saturday that the names of MPs absent from the session to elect the president be published.
An Al-Maalomah correspondent reported that “the Speaker of Parliament directed the publication of the names of MPs absent from the presidential election session, in addition to prohibiting MPs from photographing ballot papers during the voting process.”
The Speaker had previously called on members who had not yet voted to cast their ballots before the polls closed.
