The winning candidate for the State of Law coalition, Hussein Nima, confirmed, on Wednesday, the close agreement between the Sadrist bloc led by Muqtada al-Sadr and the coordination framework.
Nima said in a statement to the “Information” agency, that “the Shiite house is in great quest to enter parliament as a strong and cohesive Shiite bloc,” noting that “the Sadrist bloc will enter parliament accompanied by the coordinating framework.”
He added that “the Shiite house will unite to lead the next government and will enter parliament as a strong Shiite bloc, and forming the new government is one of the priorities of the Shiite house.”
The former representative of the victory coalition, Nada Shaker, indicated, earlier, that the meeting of the framework forces at the house of the head of the victory coalition Haider al-Abadi came as a continuation of the discussions related to forming the largest bloc and the next government, indicating that the framework forces reached 83 to 86 seats and could form the largest bloc.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement confirmed that the coordinating framework had agreed with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to preserve the largest Shiite bloc, to form a consensus government.
