An informed source confirmed on Wednesday that the Harir base near Erbil received 9 Chinook aircraft at once.
The source said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The Harir base near Erbil, where American forces are stationed, received 9 Chinook aircraft at once within a few hours, coming from its bases in Syria.”
He added, “The Chinook activity, which is the highest in 2024, indicates the transfer of military materials and equipment or elite forces,” stressing that “the flight and landing process was taking place amidst mobilization procedures with extensive drone flights in the airspace.”
He pointed out that “Al-Hareer represents an advanced base for the American army, and strict measures are imposed around its external walls.”
It is noteworthy that Al-Harir is the second most important base where American forces are deployed in Iraq after Ain Al-Assad, and it includes hundreds of soldiers in addition to heavy military equipment.
