On Monday, Speaker of Parliament Hebat al-Halbousi and President Nizar Amidi stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination among political forces to expedite the formation of the government.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament stated in a statement received by Al-Maalomah that “Speaker of Parliament Hebat Al-Halbousi received President Nizar Amidi today, Monday.”
The statement added that “during the meeting, the developments in the political situation in the country and the issue of forming the new government were discussed, and the importance of cooperation and coordination between the political forces was emphasized in order to expedite the completion of the constitutional requirement within the timeframes, in order to ensure the formation of a government capable of facing the challenges and responding to the requirements of the current stage.”
He added, “The Speaker of Parliament reiterated the Parliament’s readiness to set a date for the anticipated session to vote on the ministerial program and the cabinet lineup.”
