The Ministry of Oil announced on Friday a broad plan to export black oil, as the ministry spokesman, Sahib Bazoun, told the official agency that “there is a large plan to export black oil according to the latest data,” explaining that “there are refineries that operate with the mechanism of physical cracking of black oil, which is the result of crude oil extraction.”
He added that “the refineries that operate using physical cracking are intended to produce petroleum derivatives, including high-octane gasoline, which is in global demand,” noting that “the Ministry of Oil exports fuel oil via tanker trucks through the port of Banias.” He also confirmed that “the Ministry has set timelines for implementing this plan, and this plan is contingent on the availability of funds to open new outlets for oil exports in general.”
