Shafaq News / The Kurdistan Democratic Party decided, on Sunday, to accept the ratification of the federal budget for the years (2023, 2024, 2025), while confirming the failure of a plot to intervene in the Kurdistan Region.
In a statement received by Shafaq News agency, the party stated, “The party, in the context of a sense of responsibility towards the lives and livelihood of the citizens of Kurdistan Region, made many efforts to make the articles and paragraphs of the federal budget bill compatible with the constitutional entitlement, the state administration agreement to form the government, and the agreement of the regional government with the center, and provide financial dues to Kurds.
He added, “The party tried seriously to thwart the conspiracy that existed in an organized manner to interfere in the sovereignty of the region, minimize its entity, and reduce its powers that are established in the constitution.”
And he continued, “Although all our aspirations did not come in the budget because the text of the budget approved by the Council of Ministers should not have changed, but in order to free the government’s hand on the issue of salaries, continued investment, and not continuing problems, we decided to approve the approval of the budget.”
The Democratic Party thanked its parliamentary bloc in the House of Representatives, and the party’s ministerial team in the federal government, who showed their roles with all sincerity.
