The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Thursday the attacks on the territories of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, warning of the risks of the region sliding into a wider confrontation.

The ministry said in a statement, received by Shafaq News Agency, that it expresses its deep regret over the renewed escalation in the region and the serious repercussions that may result, threatening regional security and stability, at a time when the current circumstances require prioritizing dialogue and wisdom and intensifying efforts to contain tensions.

The ministry called on all parties to exercise restraint and unite efforts to end the state of war and escalation, and to work towards adopting diplomatic means and peaceful solutions to address the existing crises, in a way that contributes to strengthening security and stability in the region.

She stressed that the stability of Arab countries and neighboring countries is an important part of Iraq’s stability and national security, which requires maintaining strategic relations between the countries of the region and preserving common interests that serve their peoples and their aspirations for development and prosperity.

The ministry also warned of the risks of the region sliding into a wider confrontation, which could have serious negative repercussions on regional and international security, stressing the importance of maintaining balance and taking into account the common strategic interests of the various parties, in order to spare the region further tension and instability.
