The Iraqi Council of Ministers takes 5 new decisions.. these are the textsShafaq News/ The Iraqi Council of Ministers, during its weekly session on Tuesday, headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi, took five new decisions.

Al-Kazemi’s office stated in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that at the beginning of the session, Al-Kazemi reviewed the developments in the political and security situation in the country, and addressed the most important economic files that are directly related to the interests of the country and the lives of citizens.

He also reviewed his visit, accompanied by a ministerial delegation, to the province of Najaf to support the province in service, to overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of its reconstruction and to see the progress of the implemented projects, and instructed all ministers to submit a detailed report on the implementation of the decisions taken related to the work of their ministries.

The Cabinet session witnessed the hosting of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity, who presented a detailed report on the situation of electric power throughout Iraq, the treatments put in place for many of the problems facing the electricity network, and the efforts made to secure electric power for citizens in light of the cold wave that the country is going through, as well. The report permeated the proactive maintenance work in preparation for the summer season.

During the session, the epidemiological report, the measures taken to confront the Corona pandemic, and the developments of the work of the Committee to Strengthen Government Actions in the areas of prevention and health awareness control were reviewed. To limit the spread of the virus, the efforts of the Ministry of Health to confront the new wave of the pandemic and its procedures in preparing hospitals, providing the required treatments, urging citizens to adhere to preventive measures and to receive the vaccine and the booster dose for those who received it, and to confirm its availability in approved health outlets.

After discussing the topics on the agenda, the Council of Ministers issued the following decisions:

First / Approval of exempting hybrid vehicles exclusively from the fees for traffic registration plates, at a rate of 100%, and this decision is implemented from the date of its issuance.

Second / Implementation of the Cabinet Resolution (21 of 2021) regarding the powers set out in paragraph (2) of the above decision, starting from the date of issuing this decision until September 30, 2022.

The aforementioned cabinet decision had authorized the distribution of financial powers to the Minister of Electricity in the sectors of transmission, distribution, production and control and control centers within the specified geographical area, in favor of responsibilities in the northern region, the middle Euphrates region, the central region, and the southern region.

Third / directing the formation of a committee from the ministries of finance, foreign affairs and planning, in addition to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, to study Iraq’s financial obligations towards Arab and international organizations and to set priorities for the purpose of fulfilling them.

Fourth / Implementation of what was stated in the Federal Financial Supervisory Office book No. (1/1/15/24431) dated February 3, 2021, and the letter of the Ministry of Agriculture No. (96) dated January 17, 2022, regarding the regional conference (36) is taken into consideration. ) for the Near East and North Africa of the FAO.

Fifth / Approval of the Ministry of Youth and Sports contracting with a reputable company that has similar businesses, as an exception from the contracting methods specified in the instructions for implementing government contracts, after the Ministry of Planning included the component of the Dhi Qar Olympic Stadium within the investment plan of the Ministry of Youth and Sports at an initial cost of (65 ) billion dinars, subject to amendment in coordination between the concerned authorities, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports took the necessary measures to refer the negligent to the Federal Integrity Commission.
