A member of the Coordination Framework, Uday Abdul-Hadi, confirmed on Friday that the Framework’s constituent forces will hold a meeting next week to discuss the results of the parliamentary vote on Ali al-Zidi’s government.
Abdul-Hadi told Al-Maalouma that “the Coordination Framework forces will hold an important meeting at the beginning of next week to discuss the results of the parliamentary vote on Ali al-Zidi’s government, the postponement of finalizing some ministerial portfolios, and the problems that arose during the session.”
He added that “the meeting may produce important political outcomes, especially given the differing opinions on what transpired. Therefore, the meeting will be clear in defining the nature of the next phase and its requirements.”
He indicated that “the meeting will also discuss agreeing on a date to finalize the remaining ministerial portfolios after the Eid al-Adha holiday,” explaining that “all the Coordination Framework forces are aware of the nature and sensitivity of the next phase, given the existence of important issues awaiting resolution, particularly financial and economic matters, in addition to the nature of the regional and international challenges.”
He stressed that “the next phase requires a clear roadmap to contribute to strengthening the country’s economic and financial situation.”
