The Election Commission announced that it had sent official invitations to 52 Arab and foreign embassies and 19 international organizations to monitor the electoral process and ensure its integrity
“The commission has also sent invitations to 71 international bodies to monitor the electoral process with its negatives and positives, in accordance with Commission Law No. 31 of 2019, the fourth paragraph of Article 10 in Chapter Eight, which provides for the accreditation of international observers in the electoral process in coordination with Ministry of Foreign Affairs”.
She added, “The Electoral Commission, and according to the approved financial spending by the government, is ready to hold the elections as scheduled.”
Al-Ghalai pointed out that “the commission did not obtain financial and international support now, except for its receipt of 150 computers and 21 large screens as a gift from the People’s Embassy of China in Iraq.”
