Al-Salihi said in an interview with the information agency, “The budget law is very important, and its importance is more than the provincial elections law, which necessitates a parliamentary and political agreement on its provisions in order to try to expedite its passage in the parliament.”
He added, “The pressures and disagreements of the political blocs and representatives over the provincial elections law could also be repeated during the passage of the budget law.”
The member of the House of Representatives explains, “The budget, as a result of its importance and being in direct contact with the poor and projects that serve the citizen, there must be an agreement to pass it as soon as possible.”
Al-Salihi believes: “Passing the budget bill for the year 2023 during the blessed month of Ramadan, or after the Eid holiday.”
As for the member of the House of Representatives, Thaer Al-Jubouri, he expressed a different opinion than that of Representative Al-Salihi, while ruling out the impact of the differences of the political blocs over the St. Lego law on passing the budget law for the year 2023.
Al-Jubouri said in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, “The differences between the political blocs and members of the House of Representatives over the provincial elections law will not affect the passage of the current year’s budget.”
He points out, “Passing the law will be at the beginning of the matter by placing a paragraph on the parliament’s agenda, and this confirms the need to discuss the draft budget and its paragraphs separately by the political blocs,” pointing out that “this procedure is necessary in order for the law to be passed smoothly within the dome of Parliament.” “.
And the member of the House of Representatives states that “the 2023 budget law is the most important at the current stage in the House of Representatives, which requires its speedy passage.”
