5-14-2013 Intel Guru TD My contact…has made several calls to Iraqi…including our PTB contact. Yesterday [Sunday] a PTB delegation attended a memorial in Baghdad and later had some Iraqi business to review & vote on. President Talabani did NOT speak to the masses on TV but did provide a video teleconference message to this group. Essentially Talabani is a true patriot and with his health he feels his time may be due soon so he wants to see a united, prosperous, world recognized Iraq moving forward. 5-13-2013 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Article: “Amir of Dulaim clans accuse al-Maliki to push Iraq into division” Now we have demonstrators, clerics AND local leaders (tribal) calling for the removal of Maliki. I would never have guessed back when I started talking about this that it would take this long – or that it would get down to the “grass roots”. This also tells me it is only a matter of time. 5-11-2013 Newshound Guru American Contractor Recently Sansar Capital Management LLC published a report on the Iraq banking sector. I’ve written some notes on some of the details in the report. Such as there is no de-dollarization of the Iraqi economy. Al-Warka Bank is still in receivership and bankrupt. Over 80% of Iraqi’s do not have a bank account. ATM machines are not connected to the national switch and as such customers of one bank cannot access their funds from ATM Machines from another bank. One of the contributing factors of the low usage of banks by Iraqi’s is the lack of trust in the Iraq banking system. The two state banks Rasheed Bank and Rafidain bank are still trying to restructure with the help of the World Bank. The Iraq banking still has more improvements to make in order to compete in the 21st century Middle East. It will get there just take a little more time. Read more…

5-10-2013 Newshound Guru Kaperoni So now we have the CBI stating the exchange regime they expect to enter…”flexible exchange rate system orbit.” (which is a free float) and the IMF document clearly showing prior to the war the Saddam dinar was a float. Does it get any better than that? Are you convinced of what is about to come yet? The good news is, there is a plan for the dinar..and that plan does include raising the value of the dinar. And hopefully, at some point, the dinar will have a significant value greater than it has now. Which means as dinar holders, we can potentially profit greatly from that appreciation, but it’s going to take time. It is clear, that will not occur overnight. That an overnight RV of sorts is not monetary policy and is certainly not an “exchange regime” under the IMF. Read more…

5-9-2013 Newshound Guru Adam Montana [If the dinar RVs at 1$ to 1D, why would their be a time limit to exchange the dinar?] As far as we know, when they change the rate or remove the 0’s, they will also be replacing the currency with “New” Iraqi Dinar bills. When they do that, the goal will be to phase out the “Old” (current) currency. Most likely, they will do this over a 3-6 month period, as most countries do when they introduce new currency. I don’t think we have to be concerned about it being “illegal” to have the old currency, but if we don’t cash in before they stop accepting it, all of our bills will be just like the old Saddam notes… worthless. How much and how long this will take is not something I concern myself with, as I of course, have no control. The Finance Committee acknowledges certain remaining obstacles while also maintaining it is an absolute necessity at this time, which coincides with the WTO and IMF recommendations. Iraq’s dependence on the oil sector and the absence of any diversity in resources has been addressed by economists operating within systematic programs accurately to activate economic sectors agriculture, industry and provide jobs for the labor and increase budget resources. But more importantly, as time has passed, much of what I heard was validated. Heck, I would love these articles of .86 to be correct, and I think you all would also. They also patrolled during the open time of the CBI while American worker were allowed to send their money home to their families. The banks today I am told are back serving their iraq customers.

The problem is Iran is now dumping enough forged currency on Iraq that it continues to negatively affect the street rate. I believe that the bank will come to the logical conclusion, if they haven’t already, they must go and go soon. I think it will be $1.00 or .86 right out of the shoot allowing them to release the smalls denominations immediately following the change in rate. 4-26-2013 Intel Guru Delta There are 8 construction companies in Baghdad, in Iraq & none of these people have been paid yet for 4 months. I talked to the director in charge of the Qui [sp] cards & he said the only way to go international is to go with Master Card, not the local card & in order to do that you have to have a tradeable currency. They were supposed to do it a month ago, but nothing happened. The director said they are waiting for them to raise the value of the currency. They are waiting for this one thing. They can not go with the program rate of 1166. There is a good possibility that the rate could be 1 – 1 and then go up. It will not be a free float. That would be a disaster for Iraq. Iran. It is common knowledge they are the ones pumping this into Iraq. 2. The dinar currently in circulation is the ones being counterfeited. The longer this goes on, the more of this gets into Iraq and screws with monetary policy. A goal I am sure of Iran and Maliki.
