2-9-2015 Newshound Guru American Contractor The Iraqi Parliament is continuing with their economic conference meetings in Baghdad. What you are going to see is the private banking institutions and the Iraqi government working together to facilitate government projects. The Iraqi government will remove the restrictions it had imposed on the private banks. The Private Banking had restrictions due to lack of capital and unable to fund multi-million dollar projects. Since that time the banks have raised their capital to the Central Bank requirements and now, are able to compete with the two state banks for government projects. Not all private banks have met the capital requirements, and they will not be able to participate in this program. The Central Bank has announced that this is not the time to delete the zeros from the Iraq currency, stating that lack of security and economic stability in the country. The State-owned Rafidain Bank has announced the first ever smart card used by Iraqi citizens who are living abroad and are collecting pensions and or subsidies. The Central Bank reserves have decreased, and this is another reason the CBI has limited the sales of the dollar into the market. The CBI is trying to protect the reserves. Read more…

2-7-2015 Newshound Guru Enorrste This country will become a powerhouse for three simple reasons: first, it is the “wild west” meaning it is the last and best opportunity for the big players to make some serious money. Second, Iraq has, without question, the largest amount of “natural reserves” in the world… And, finally, third, Iraq has the strongest currency in the world, even though its current value “appears” to be toilet paper. Mark my words. The float will change the world’s economic structure. I am not saying this alone. I have Saleh to back me up. To paraphrase: “the dinar will become one of the strongest currencies in the world and will be held by them for a very long time as a world reserve currency.” I’ve been in this over 8 years now. However, as we enter the last lap, please don’t lose faith. I am a true believer that anyone who hangs in for the next “phase”, as Shabibi used to call it, will be rewarded, not only somewhat, but very nicely indeed. 12-15-2014 Intel/Newshound Guru Poppy3 i have never wavered from my research and what the powers that be have stated the rate that was approved and even though they have had many new meetings with the imf not one cbi or imf official has ever stated a different rate. In oct 2010 the IMF web site stated they had approved a new rate on DINAR of $3.22 plus up to 20% more for inflation since the war started. That means up to $3.86 at the highest. Dr Shabibi whom never lied to us about anything stated they wanted to have a median flat rate they can manage for 24 to 36 months while they further grow their economy before going to a float.

12-11-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni …many ask all the time “is the CBI in compliance with the IMF or not” and we all look at the numbers and try and figure it out…Official rate/Market rate stuff which is very important. You see under IMF Article XIV, the IMF is teaching the CBI how to manage its currency and compliance is important to the IMF before they will let the CBI take the next step which as everyone knows would be for them to move to Article VIII. The IMF told us the answer we all asked…Are they in compliance? Well the answer in September was no according to the IMF Press Release, the spread in September was 2.6%. So we can go back to the CBI site, pull up the auction numbers and see what exactly they were and relation to the Official rate/Market rate. So in September, the CBI published 1203 and 1206 throughout the whole month. So Official rate is 1166 and market rate was 1203 or 1206 which according to the IMF is 2.6% and not in compliance. So now we know that the Market rate must be less for them to be in compliance and that calculation is easy to do and we can figure it out…the “golden number” appears to be 1200 or less. Read more…

12-10-2014 Newshound Guru Enorrste Article: “Statement at the End of an IMF Mission on Iraq” The article…makes it clear that the decision to release some of the reserves was made by the CBI in concert with the GOI to fund the deficit. It is speculation to say that Maliki and/or Turki were behind this, since we do not know when the funds were released. In any case, the fact that this came out in an officially recognized IMF article implies to me that the release was on the “up and up” as far as the IMF was concerned. In other words, the IMF didn’t mention anything “fishy” in the reduction of reserves and, furthermore, didn’t even make a comment about the fall in reserves.
