Or would it possibly come before they release the lower denoms?] Excellent question…Let me ask you…if a 1 IQD coin has a value of $0.00086…why would it be put on the street today? It wouldn’t…Same with the other new notes/coins. The Iraqis will not see them until well after the value of the IQD increases dramatically. Any new denomination will have Kurdish language now. …the reality is only one restriction stands in the way between remaining in Article XIV and achieving Article VIII. The importance of “freedom of movement of capital” cannot be stated enough if Iraq wants outside investment. Abadi is full aware that currency reform is a major hold up to his countries ability to create diverse income. And IMO that will include helping them transition into the global marketplace…monetary policy is pretty straight forward and well documented…when the CBI wants to change, they simply will change the procedure…As they stated will occur before the middle of 2016. [Please explain the change in “procedure” by the IMF…] a change in procedure is fixed to float. there is no rv…the IMF Article IV, that is confirmation. [I think you have to consider conditions today…] the CBI already did that..what do you think the 50k is for? poor conditions prevent the CBI from moving at this time to a float. 11-11-2015 Newshound Guru Enorrste Article: “The Central Bank of Iraq, announced issuing new cash paper category fifty thousand Dinars, includes writings in the Kurdish language…” Article quote and explanation from 5-24-2015: “this is a preliminary step to remove zeros from the Iraqi currency in the coming years”, adding that “these two categories will facilitate the process of deliberation of the Iraqi dinar exchange for hard currency.” The quote specifically says that both the introduction of the larger notes AND the removal of the three zeros notes after that will lead to the “deliberation of the Iraqi dinar exchange for hard currency.” In other words, the article’s writer is confirming my analysis that the introduction of the larger notes will lead Iraqis away from dollars since they will, after their introduction, have their own equivalent of a $50 and $100 bill, although worth just slightly less. This will reduce the demand for dollars, and probably quickly, since they won’t have to pay the 8% “vig” to get the dollars anymore. Reduction in dollar demand is the same as increasing demand for dinars, meaning the value of the dinar will begin to rise. At some point, “over the next years” and after they change the exchange rate regime to a float, the demand will reach levels where the three zero notes will be withdrawn due to their being worth too much to carry. We have verified this, and the lower denoms have left the USA… IMO – the bird landed at its final destination. IMO the lower denoms are in Iraq now…only because it’s 100% secure. Dr. S [Shabibi] has these documents under his arms (100’s of them) against Maliki. Dr. Shabibi is getting ready to get rid of the so the so-called governor of the CBI (Allac). There is no more serious talk of not moving to the float. Instead, the talk is essentially one over timing. Saleh is insistent, and correct, that the final decision with regard to timing is in the hands of the CBI. They are on records with several recent articles now stating that they wish to reduce the money supply in Iraq. This can only be done with the raise in the value of the dinar. Those few who are pushing for the float so that the value of the dinar will go down are, to put it nicely, ignorant as to how the process works. As long as the CBI is in charge the value will not be allowed to fall, period. Therefore, I am still cautiously optimistic that the float will commence before the end of the year or early in 2016. This means that for the first time we have all of the major players on the same page, irrespective of Maliki’s attempt to meddle in the process. I see forces moving that cannot be stopped easily. Furthermore, if you recall, it was the IMF who insisted that the Investment Law be passed before the end of October, and it was, barely. 11-4-2015 Intel Guru Frank26 …the US of A stated they were withdrawing USD’s temporarily from Iraq…there was some excuse about funding terrorism/DAASH/ISIS or some such thing…probably a valid concern at some point…in the past. …the first week of August…this is when the US actually stopped sending USD to Iraq, loans were being made in USD up to that time…but it all stopped, yes terrorism was to blame, partially. What we need to keep in mind is that Iraq cannot revalue their IQD as long as the USD is being used in Iraq. For the time being Iraq has essentially eliminated the USD from their diet….this was to happen by 1/1/2016 but has happened already…they are FAR FAR ahead of schedule. Read more…
